Holland America Line (HAL) just celebrated the conclusion of its first Grand World Voyage since 2020, which lasted 128 days and visited 57 ports. As world cruise demand continues to soar, a variety of cruise lines — including Azamara, Crystal, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Silversea Cruises — are announcing even more global journeys for the coming years.
Azamara
Azamara has revealed new details for its 2024 World Voyage from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., which will boast 11 “AzAmazing Celebrations” and a trio of exclusive World Voyage events.
Among the exclusive events will be a special full-day tour of the Taj Mahal in Mumbai, India, and traditional Turkish cuisine and live performances in Istanbul, Turkey. An additional AzAmazing Day will feature a Madang Resort Mini Festival in Papua New Guinea, hosted away from the festival crowds, while an AzAmazing Evening will celebrate Croatia’s past and present with pop-up shows in Dubrovnik.
“Having just announced the expansion of our AzAmazing programming, we’re pleased to share these carefully crafted events that are sure to make Azamara Onward’s first ever World Voyage one to remember,” said Carol Cabezas, president of Azamara. “Each of these special celebrations is uniquely tailored to each destination, allowing our guests to get an authentic experience of local culture and traditions in extraordinary venues, from the renowned Acropolis Museum in Greece to the historic Nassif House in Saudi Arabia.”
Crystal
Crystal meanwhile, will sail from the West Coast in 2024, departing for 125 nights from San Diego, Calif., to Miami onboard Crystal Serenity. Should clients choose, they can also add a Panama Canal segment to extend the voyage to 141 nights. Sailing highlights will encompass Colombia, French Polynesia, Australia and New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Egypt, Jordan, Italy and the French Riviera.
“Experiencing world wonders such as the pyramids of Egypt, Petra in Jordan, Ephesus in Turkey or the Colosseum in Rome while enjoying unique shore excursions curated by Abercrombie & Kent will be an experience of a lifetime,” said Fernando Barroso de Oliveira, Crystal’s world cruise ambassador. “Throughout the course of their voyage, guests will be treated to the unparalleled service, world-class dining and entertainment that has made Crystal an award-winning cruise line for nearly 30 years.”
Additionally in 2024, Crystal will offer four Grand Journeys, ranging from 37 to 68 nights long and emphasizing longer stays and overnights. Crystal Symphony will feature Sydney to Singapore, Lisbon to Monte Carlo and Stockholm to London, while Crystal Serenity will showcase Vancouver to Quebec City.
Holland America Line
Holland America Line most recently announced a unique “Pole-to-Pole” world cruise that will sail roundtrip from the U.S. in 2025. The 133-day voyage onboard Volendam will cover five continents, including Antarctica, as well as the Arctic Circle, all conveniently from Fort Lauderdale. The south-north-south route will pass through the Panama Canal and further feature the Amazon River, the Strait of Gibraltar, Norwegian fjords and Norway’s North Cape, plus stops in Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Iceland, Greenland and more.
Simultaneously, HAL will embark on a more traditional 124-day 2025 Grand World Voyage on Zuiderdam, also sailing from Fort Lauderdale to 46 ports in 32 countries across a total of six continents. Showcased stops will include overnights in Callao, Peru; Easter Island; Papeete, Tahiti; Sydney, Australia; Singapore; Cape Town, South Africa; Mombasa, Kenya; Safaga, Egypt; and Barcelona.
What’s more, both global voyages will meet on April 24, 2025, in Barcelona for a joint overnight call and special festivities.
Princess Cruises
Looking ahead to 2025, Princess Cruises will offer a 116-day world cruise with embarkation options in Fort Lauderdale (on Jan. 5) and Los Angeles (on Jan. 20). The voyage will stop in Australia; New Zealand and the South Pacific; the Mediterranean; Central America; Africa; Asia and elsewhere. First-ever visits for the line will include Bar, Montenegro, and Taranto, Italy, as well as maiden world cruise visits to the Greek island of Patmos and the city of Volos. (Clients can also reduce the voyage as desired by selecting shorter segments.)
Epic points of interest along the way will extend to the Singapore Botanical Gardens, the Old City of Dubrovnik, the ancient Greek city of Ephesus (from Kusadasi, Turkey), the Monastery of St. John and the Cave of the Apocalypse (from Patmos), and a total of 27 UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises
If customers are seeking other abridged options as far out as 2026, Regent Seven Seas Cruises is also planning five new Grand Voyages for its 2025-2026 collection (in addition to the previously announced 154-night sailing), ranging from 61 to 117 nights each. The shortest option, a Grand Asia Exploration, will head from Auckland to Tokyo on Seven Seas Explorer, while an 83-night Grand Arctic Adventure will navigate from North America to Iceland, the Norwegian fjords and more on Seven Seas Mariner.
Or, onboard Seven Seas Navigator, an 84-night Grand Continental Sojourn will go from Barcelona to Sydney, hitting destinations such as the Canary Islands and the Seychelles. The line’s Indian Ocean Odyssey onboard Seven Seas Voyager will feature the Suez Canal, Africa, Arabia and Mediterranean ports.
The longest itinerary — the 117-night Grand Cultural Quest on Seven Seas Mariner — meanwhile, is scheduled to embark from New York and stretch all the way to the Arctic, Greenland, Iceland and Scandinavia, as well as Greece, France, Egypt and Jerusalem via the Mediterranean.
Silversea Cruises
Silversea Cruises is also already looking ahead to 2026 for its upcoming world cruise, titled “The Curious and the Sea.” The 140-day voyage will take place onboard Silver Dawn from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., sailing to a whopping 70 destinations in 37 countries, the most ever for the luxury line.
