Fresh from a $6 million renovation, the former Island Colony Hotel is now operating under a new name: Aqua Skyline at Island Colony. Comprised of 110 rooms within a 740-room building, it bills itself as a modern hotel experience appealing to a broad range of visitors. The upgraded lobby greets guests with flagstone tile, plantation shutters and rattan furniture, while restyled guestrooms feature a palate of green and silver complementing rich brown furnishings. The pool and outdoor areas as well as the meeting space have also been refreshed, and a fitness center has been added. The tallest building in Waikiki, Aqua Skyline at Island Colony is located two blocks from the beach and near the International Marketplace.
