Emma is the Managing Editor of TravelAge West. Depending on the day, you might find Emma racing against the clock to finish a scoop, crafting an in-depth human interest piece, penning op-eds on travel industry affairs, writing first-person cruise and hotel reviews, or working to refine TravelAge West’s digital and social media strategy. Or, it may be a combination of the above.
As the host of the Humans of Travel podcast and a co-host of the Trade Secrets podcast (produced in conjunction with Travel Weekly), Emma highlights the successes of exceptional individuals within the travel industry. She was recently named a finalist in the category of Best Travel Podcast in the Eddie Awards for her work on Trade Secrets, and received an honorable mention from the Society of American Travel Writers in the category of “Coverage of Diverse Communities” for her TravelAge West cover story on accessible travel.
When she’s not crisscrossing the globe on assignment, Emma is most likely hopping around her home base in Southern California. If she’s at home, you’ll find her making (and trying) new recipes, hiking, curling up with a good book or spending time with her fiancé, Nick, and her two cats, Pepper and Pocket.
